Bella Bistro has a passion for the food, wine, people, and culture of Italy. The executive chef and owner, Shelly, is known to think outside the box and does not shy away from the unusual, the extreme, or the grand. Regular trips to Italy keep her inspired to create new dishes using fresh seasonal and local products.
A note from Chef Shelly
I just returned home from the most fantastic trip of a lifetime. I spent almost three weeks eating my way through Vietnam and Cambodia. I shopped local fresh markets, and had the good fortune of cooking with local chefs. I have so many great photos I don't even know where to start with framing them.
My passion has always been Italian food and I never thought I would find another cuisine that I would love as much. While Italian and Vietnamese food have completely different flavor profiles. And I would never dream of corrupting them by trying to fuse them together. They do share a basic principle of cooking with fresh local products and there is no better way to cook.
